The Ministry for the Environment is currently developing the first Waste Action and Investment Plan (AIP), which will guide how the national Waste Strategy is translated into action​.

The Ministry is engaging with a range of stakeholders on a range of topics to inform the actions and investment necessary to progress towards the waste strategy targets and goals. FGC members are invited to a webinar on Wednesday 19th July at 2pm to hear more about the development of the AIP and to discuss sector priorities.

As part of early engagement on the AIP, the Ministry have provided a position paper and seeking feedback on a planning approach for a national circular resource recovery network (CRRN) for Aotearoa New Zealand.
