Speakers announced to date:
Grocery Commissioner Pierre van Heerden
Before being appointed in July 2023, Pierre was the Chief Executive Officer of Mojo Coffee, General Manager Commercial Development of Zealandia, and Executive General Manager of Farrah’s Breads. Before this, van Heerden was Managing Director of Southern Sky Associates, a business consultancy. He has also been the Chief Executive Officer of Brancourts Dairy Group, Australia and Executive General Manager of Sanitarium Health and Wellbeing New Zealand for 10 years, Managing Director of Dick Smith Foods in Australia, as well as having held various executive roles with Sanitarium in Australia.
Adelle Keely – Acumen Chief Executive & MD
With 20 years in the communications industry, Adelle has been trusted to evolve, promote and protect the brands and reputations of some of New Zealand’s most influential organisations. Her strength is understanding how brands, consumers, business, Government and communities interact – taking a creative, integrated approach across earned, owned and paid channels. Her diverse experience spans New Zealand, the UK and the US across sectors including building and infrastructure, ICT, FMCG, financial services, professional services and health & wellbeing. Adelle understands how to connect communications activity with clients’ commercial drivers and has extensive corporate and marketing communications capability including business advice, strategy, developing narratives & story-telling, issues & crisis management, capital markets, stakeholder & influencer engagement, brand campaigns, internal communications and media training.
Simon Bridges – Auckland Chamber CEO
Simon is currently CEO of the Auckland Business Chamber, recently appointed as Chair of Waka Kotahi NZTA, and a non-executive chair and director on a number of company boards and works in a range of sectors. Simon Bridges was the National MP for Tauranga and is a former New Zealand Leader of the Opposition and senior Cabinet Minister. As a member of Cabinet in the last National-led Government, he held several ministerial portfolios including Energy, Transport, Communications, Economic Development and Leader of the House. During his tenure as a Minister, Simon helped roll-out nation-building infrastructure like Ultra-Fast Broadband, and opened major new roads like the Waterview Tunnel as Transport Minister. Mr Bridges also implemented policies during this period to grow the electric vehicle market, as well as investments in KiwiRail to improve public transport options in New Zealand. Prior to standing for Parliament, Simon was a litigation lawyer at prestigious law firm Kensington Swan in Auckland. He then moved to Tauranga in 2001, taking on the role of a senior Crown Prosecutor in the District and High Courts.
